"You and I could have been 'We' if the Sea had lost it colours."

Tears filled my eyes.

I couldn't even control them as they cascaded down my cheeks.

"You and I could have been 'We' if the sun had lost its shine."

Each word was like a shard of broken glass, piercing deeper and deeper into my heart.

I felt a pain that I could not describe, one that threatened to cripple me.

"Anna and Mama could have been one if we just weren't us."

The final piece was like an unexpected avalanche.

It lauched itself at me and I immediately recoiled from the impact.

But, she just turned and walked away like everything meant nothing.

She broke my heart to pieces and didn't even try to fix it.

She was her.

Whenever I looked at her, she was bound to set my heart on fire.

It was her who began to make me feel and see that there is more to living.

And though she said she was a bad person -her words and not mine- I still loved her so.

Until she broke me more than I was already broken.

And taught me the true meaning of never to love again.

Because...

She was She.

She was Her.

She was Anna.
