Sam was supposed to be her soulmate. They'd proclaimed their love for each other to one of the most powerful succubi in the plains, then to each other. When Aron woke up the next morning however, Sam and his brothers were gone, along with most of her energy and magic.
Aron was finally starting to be happy again, doing her best to forget the incubi ever even existed. Just as she is getting over the heartbreak Sam's betrayal caused her, they come back.
