Damian Al Ghul has been sent on a mission by his mother, Talia Al Ghul in order to prove his worth to her and his grandfather as a suitable heir to their family. Damian has been raised as an assassin but quickly realizes he doesn't want to become a killer. Whilst on his mission, he runs away and boards any transport he can find. He soon discovers he's stranded in Gotham City with nowhere to go, unaware he's caught the eye of Gotham's most fierce protector. *note*: this fanfiction doesn't follow everything canonically. Damian is not known for sharing his feelings. Infact, most of his siblings would argue he doesn't even have any. A certain Al Ghul is definitely to blame for that. What the rest of the Wayne's, including his father don't know though, is that Damian is struggling. He's struggling to find his real worth after being forced to be the best his whole life. But no one can be the best at everything. He's struggling to understand all these new feelings and hormones that teenagers go through. He doesn't have the help of his past family, and his new family thinks his stone cold. Words and things that'd he'd normally have no problem ignoring, suddenly start to effect him. worse though, they effect his ability to fight. His thoughts are plagued with Talias voice, constantly telling him how he's failed her. Can he find the strength to say something? Or will he just hold everything in and keep putting up a fake front? . . .
