Sunny is finally able to face the truth in hopes to move towards a brighter future. Unfortunately, he can't seem to find the words to tell everyone and is brushed off quickly. 
As he recovers in the hospital, everything quickly goes to ruin as Headspace pours into the real world. Past friends, foes, and even loved ones make an appearance once again as Sunny struggles to cope with his quickly changing environment.

But when he comes to terms with everything that happened in his past and returns to the real world, a lot has changed. Sunny waits for Basil to wake up inside the hospital after all his friends have left, his heart full of unresolved feelings for the boy who held his hand during his darkest moment and promised him that everything is going to be okay. Then he receives a call from his mom. She's taking Basil to live with her at their new home in the city. Sunny isn't sure how to feel about his best friend coming to live with him, but maybe it's better than being alone again.

!!This fanfic has MAJOR spoilers from Omori!! Kel is entering high school again with his friends. As little time goes on, the feelings he had for Sunny when they were younger had suddenly returned. How will he deal with these feeling? Things that should be kept in mind: This takes place in the point of view of Kel (So it is 1st person POV), this is a modernized alternative of the main story, and these events are taking place after Mari's death in the real world. Warning: there's a bunch of swears, jokes, timeline mistakes, and spelling/gramatical errors. This story is mainly just me having a good time since I usually prefer making one-shots, but I love and appreciate everyone who reads and enjoys this too!

(Post Sunny route ending. The gang forgave them, but are still struggling to move past it entirely) Winter is rolling around the corner, bringing with it the very amazing break from school. Because of this, Sunny has come to visit Faraway for a few weeks! Hero and Kel are more than happy to let Sunny sleep with them in their bedroom as he stays. That is, until their new roommate starts muttering things in his sleep. Constant nightmares plague their friend almost every night. And one evening, while Sunny is taking a nap, he whispers a name that none of his friends recognize. Who is.. "Omori"? ------ On Sunny's end of the stick, things aren't doing so well. Being back at Faraway has proven to be a mistake, as the familiar place kept triggering back memories. The stress is so much, that Sunny finds himself accidentally falling back into his old habits. His dreams. While he's there, he's greeted by good old Omori, who is just as upset as he is with him being back. HEADSPACE shouldn't exist anymore. And it won't. They'll make sure of that. Because if the dreamer fails to end his dream, then Omori will make sure he won't ever awake again. ((posted in AO3 first, now moving to Wattpad))

Following the INCIDENT, the atmosphere in CLOSEBY shifted drastically. There was a noticeable increase in fear and aggression towards BASIL, fueling his growing resentment. Years of enduring pain caused by a particular individual had undoubtedly left its mark on him. But then, an unexpected turn of events brought a ray of hope into his life. Now, at a crossroads, he has to decide whether to seek healing and make amends with his past, or let himself be consumed by despair. 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆: 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐒𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐃 𝐀𝐁𝐔𝐒𝐄! This book is an opposite au, meaning that the character's personalities will be the opposite of their canon ver. For example, Sunny in this book is eccentric and outgoing while in the game he's quiet and keeps to himself. Just adding this because a lot of people are confused about why the characters are awful to each other and "OOC" lol. (I don't blame them) I'm writing this for 𝗳𝘂𝗻 and ideas are taken from my roleplays with my friends. This specific AU and storyline are 100% mine. P.S: Basil is an unreliable narrator, take his words and perception of things with a grain of salt. 9/9/24: This story is a goddamn mess, read if you want. This was when I didn't know how to write for shit #2 in omoriau, #7 in peer-pressure
