Grey is a young mage, one in a world of Masters of the craft. He will do all it takes to find a Master to teach his best friend Ari and himself. However the strongest Masters of all, the Three Arc Masters, each control their own regions of the lands and are in constant conflict with each other; while the Fourth Arc Master hasn't been seen in a millenium. At the same time the ruthless Council of Wizards, a grand group that follow the ancient teachings of magic, who separate themselves from mages in pursuit of the more intellectual, structured and cruel side of magic study, try to rein in the violence and establish a tyrannical and selective control of the regions through brutal methods. Ari and Grey know that it will be a be a excrutiating journey but once they find a good teacher they will be on they're way to the top.
