You grew up in Miami with Callies family kinda took you in after your mother passed and father started drinking. She's been like a sister to you ever since. So when you found out she worked at Seattle grace you instantly signed up and here we are.
Meredith became your sister in med-school and your the one that was there for her when her mother was diagnosed with Altzimers.
