11-year-old Quinoa Clark lives in a small town called Rocheport, which is located in Missouri. He has a friend named Connor, and a bike he loves. His world was quickly turned upside down when a tornado hit the town, and destroyed everything in its path.
The car that Mark, Matt, and Chad are in gets sucked into a tornado. It pulls Chad out of the car, and then launches the car a few yards. Mark steers and narrowly misses instead of crashing into a kid on the road.
The kid turns out to be a fan, and they can't necessarily leave him there, when there's an open tornado on the ground. They invite him on their trip to find Chad, and the new trip to find the kid's parents.
As long as that tornado stays away from them.
