16 year old Carlos Hernandez is living through the worst pandemic known to man. The virus has already killed 2/3 of the population, including Carlos's parents and older sister. Deciding to escape his childhood home in Texas and head to Wisconsin where his grandparents live. His goal is to find a way to live a stable life In this new hell hole of a world. On his way to Wisconsin he befriends a flat-coated retriever. Pretty soon after he meets a boy named Luke, who is on his way to Indiana. They decide to travel together and things take a wild turn there on out.
