Without a killer extinct and far too much use of her conscience, she is of no use to the mages who have refused peace with their vampire neighbors. The once powerful Kingdom of Viridia has fallen. The Royal family was wiped out, and the kingdom crumbles. The neighboring Kingdom of Avaria has taken control of the lands and the people live in fear of the Avarians and their cruelty. Lavelina was cast out of her village because of rumors that accused her of being born of evil. For almost 8 years she lived alone in the heart of the forest, but all that changed when she saves a bounty hunter from near death. Kaynen and his friends are skilled in various things, and make a living as bounty hunters. They live by a code, and do not take sides. Saved by a mysterious woman, he realizes that his life is about to change. Someone wants him dead, and they will do anything to get the job done. Even if it means going after the small group of people he cares about. The woman who saved him is not who she seems, and they both discover things about themselves that will forever change the fate of the kingdom.Complete

They stumble upon Torenth, a city hidden behind a waterfall, and the Guardians welcome her into their castle like family. Lord Deric tries to win her heart, but Aria's eyes are on Owen, the shy blacksmith. When Aria finds out she is the next Guardian of Torenth according to a prophecy, she must figure out a way to keep her father out of Torenth.
