In an alternate universe where there is no Howard Stark, Edwin Jarvis, or Daniel Sousa, Agent Margaret "Peggy" Carter must regain her footing after the loss of Steve Rogers (Captain America). With no friends, no family, and terrified to let people into her life, Peggy is determined to continue her espionage alone. However, when Peggy's boss, Roger Dooley, mentions there may be a chance that Steve is alive, Peggy dedicates herself to finding him. As the stress of the search continues to wear her down, and a waitress offers a kind hand, Peggy must decide whether she's finally ready to accept help or if the risk is greater than the reward.
