"We are enemies, not friends. Why should I give you the time of day?" Came a snarky voice.

"Oh, don't be so stuck up, Vampire." Came a gruff reply.

"Then don't be so stupid, Werewolf," the first hissed back.

"Are we doing this or not?" The Werewolf growled out.

"Of course not! This is insane!" The vampire exclaimed.

"We've already made it this far. Why stop now?" The other asked.

"Because the first time was an accident, I wasn't - I wasn't thinking. I was near death, for goodness sake!" They shouted.

"And the second time?" The other raised a brow.

The Vampires mouth opened in an immediate retort, but soon realized he had no excuse. So he clamped his mouth back shut and stayed silent.

"That's what I thought." The Werewolf finished cheekily.
The vampire snarled before turning their head away and crossing their arms tight over their chest.

Sasuke pushed Naruto away as they stood in the wilderness alone together in the darkness.

"We can't. It's - It'll never - ... We could never make it work, Naruto," the vampire said, his voice turning hushed at the end.

Naruto paused at that as he stared at Sasuke for only a moment before his eyes softened, and he approached the vampire with a tenderness not known to be shared between the two different beings.

"I believe this is worth fighting for Sasuke, don't you?" He asked in a delicate whisper.

The vampire looked at him and couldn't help but smile at Naruto gently before closing his eyes and nodding his head.

"If it's you, anything is worth it."

Naruto smiled as he leaned down and whispered against Sasuke's cold lips,

"Then that's all that matters."
