This fan fiction will go into detail about Shadow's complicated past, and will start with his creation on the ARK. Shadow is battling memories, mind-control, and struggling to find his true identity. Is he a Hero? A Villain? A Mercenary who cares for nothing but self gain? Or will he withhold nothing in his quest for revenge? He must discover who he truly is, and in the process, unearth the truth behind Maria's TRUE last request. I portray Shadow as a character who is torn between personalities. Shadow and his baby brother sonic are living happily in the ark with maria and gerald. But what happens if when Gun invaded the ark and kidnapped one of the brothers? What will happen?

As you go along, the characterisation gets better and better, and though I don't want to claim that they act perfectly canon, I think they're pretty accurate :) The cover is drawn by me! It took me 14 hours, drawn in ibisPaint X, inspired by this collection's "Starry Hedgehog" oneshot! Old desc.: I have a newfound obsession with Sonic and an ability to write so here you go, some (probably very un-canon) oneshots, mostly only about Sonic and Shadow, either platonic or romantic ahaha...

SONIC 3 SPOILERS "What's going on?" Maria asked. "I don't know," Shadow replied, getting off the bed and walking to the door. After hesitating, Shadow opened the door and followed the sounds down the hallway to the main entrance. There were bolts of blue lighting dancing across the room, and guards went down left and right by something too fast for anyone to see. The guards fired into the room, panicked, but the blue blur of lighting was relentless and soon no one was left standing. Shadow stood at the edge of the room, eyes and mouth agape as the blue blur finally stood still, standing over the unconscious guards. It was a hedgehog! It looked like- "Shadow," Maria breathed out, appearing beside Shadow. "He looks just like you."

'For loving you is a sin; I'm prepared to bear the consequences.' Shadow The Hedgehog has always had visions about Maria in his 'dreams', thoughts about her demise constantly penetrating the protective barrier of his sleep to infiltrate his mind with her. Oftentimes, the dreams would only occur once or twice a month, leaving him shaken and generally more bitter than usual, yet... They seemed to be occurring more often than ever before. Coincidentally, he's also having to come to terms with the fact that he so obviously has developed a massive crush with his rival, Sonic The Hedgehog, and that he also has to work with him. How on earth he's going to deal with this? Chaos knows. Or Stupid alien hedgehog has nightmares about his sister while also having feelings for his rival and it's affecting the hell outta him!!
