Three cardinals plan with Pope Paul VII a huge project to try to re-establish faith and Christianity among peoples, which have been in deep crisis for decades. In a sea of difficulties, they almost come to realize the crazy plan: like Jesus Christ, the Pontiff will have to pretend to die next Good Friday and will have to be resurrected on Easter Sunday. The story takes place in the sixteen days preceding a future Easter: at the end of these fateful days, the world should change for the better, at least this is the dream of the four protagonists; but unfortunately, shortly before the established date, the Holy Father was diagnosed with a serious illness, which would not allow the implementation of the plan. On the night of Good Friday, during the Via Crucis at the Colosseum, the Pontiff suffered a fatal attack. Incredibly it will be resurrected on Holy Sunday in St. Peter's Square in front of millions of spectators. The enormous event will have unimaginable consequences on the entire world: nothing will be as before. Adam, the jihadist attacker hired by an Afghan terrorist cell, manages to escape the massive manhunt. He will travel with his sick father to Egypt to their relatives' house, but will be captured and sent to Italy on charges of terrorism and attempted murder. Having learned of the great miracle of the papal resurrection, Adam will ultimately regret his crazy gesture. Given that in these times of crisis humanity is looking for greater certainties, this book can positively influence spirits and consciences, stimulating human hope towards a better future. Due to the universal interest of the themes covered, the novel can interest readers from all over the world. It could also lend itself well to a film adaptation with international distribution.
