{ON HOLD}

Julia longs to have a more exciting life; When she can't spend time outside, life is awfully boring. Her longing ends, however, when an incident leads to her being sent to an academy for kids with magical powers. With so many new faces, and being unable to use her powers properly, Julia has trouble with a lot of people at her new school, but not nearly as much trouble as she has with her three roommates. As cliché as it is, she ends up in the same dorm as three guys her age. As much as the four of them bicker, however, they have to learn to work together to survive the school year. Evil is lurking around every corner at the academy, and Julia's arrival there sets off a chain of events that may destroy that magical world she only just discovered.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. I'm a high school drop-out, late everywhere I go, and one screw-up away from being homeless. I'm a loner, and I like it that way. Who needs friends when you have a Redwood forest nearby? Trees never bully me like the kids did at school. Or get drunk and throw things at my head. After my mom died, I figured life couldn't get much worse. I thought it might even get better. Ha. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

Pariss grey isn't who you think she is. She's strong, powerful and smart, at least that's what her friends says. To herself, she's weak and cold. But she is so much more. Attending the Dragon Academy changed her perspective on people, as her strength is being tested, her ability to make decisions under pressure. That was until bonding week came along. A week where all the First Years at Dragon Academy will be bonding dragons. Simple. At least that's what she thought. Something strange is going on around the Academy, and yet she can't quite get a grasp on what it is. After bonding a dragon that constantly brings memories she doesn't want to relive, tragedy strikes. Pariss Grey must put aside her pride and emotions if she wants a chance to fight and succeed in what's to come. But can she do that? The question is... is she willing to do that? The answer lies within her heart, as friendships are ripped apart and new ones forged, Pariss must do the ultimate to the save the people she loves. Even if it destroys her in the end. COMPLETED // Highest Ranking: #12 in Science Fiction As the author I feel the responsibility to warn you of what you will encounter if you choose to read The Academy For Genetically Altered Children series: -a boy whose life depends on a rock -a lurking monster -a lot of sassiness -strange powers -a future that might not be far off from our own -a room full of weapons -strange, vivid dreams -bullies -children infused with animals -students disappearing - SO MUCH MORE // Even among a genetically altered society Andromeda Lovelace, Kai Kinsman, Layla DeStone, and Orion Hornthaw are considered far from normal. The GOP (Government Owned Property) Children were created, their genes professionally selected before they even came into existence. Birthed by surrogate mothers for the government, these four children have to discover just how they came to be, why they exist, and what the New Nation expects from them. At the age of twelve, they each are selected for the Academy for Genetically Gifted Children; an institution for "special" children. There, they will face insane tasks, meet a diverse group of kids and adults, and uncover secrets about themselves, the academy, and the government--ones that might better be kept hidden. Meanwhile, something sinister is haunting the academy's grounds and the GOP Children are facing inner battles of their own: Andi is having drastically realistic nightmares, Kai's life depends on a rock, Layla is hearing screams and whispers, and Rion has secrets of his own. Join the four GOP Children on a journey that may make you question things about yourself, the future, and what is right and what is inhumane in a world that may not be so far off--and maybe, just maybe you'll even see a little bit of yourself in each character. // This is my first novel, so I'm fairly new to this haha. I'm sure there will be the occasional grammatical error so I apologize in advance! I hope you all enjoy it and I am open to any suggestions!
