MAHARLIKA: Pearl's Of The Orient

Maharlika is the sequel of the filipino action series Asian Treasures. This story involving the quest for missing pearls that date back from the start of Philippine civilization. It is said that these missing pearls were gathered from different parts of Philippine Archipelago by 10 Rajas who passed the duty to protect it by the 10 appointed presidents known as Pearl of the Orient (Perlas ng Silangan). This secret has been passed on among the descendants of two groups of Filipinos - the Maharlika's (Masugid na taga-Hanap na Rango ng mga Likas na Kayamanan), who wants to protect and find the pearls, and the Musang's (Mula Sa Alagad Ng Gobyerno), the group who has selfish intentions in finding the pearls. Coming from the lineage of Maharlika's, Mara (Mikha Lim) is an iron-willed young lass who was well-trained in the field of combat for an all-important task of carrying on the mission of her ancestors. Since the Musang have begun an aggressive pursuit of the missing pearls, even obliterating Maharlikas members who got in the way of their quest, the Maharlikas needs to get ahead to be able to protect the missing pearls. In an unlikely turn of events, Mara's path will be with her cousin Mayari (Aiah Arceta) who has psychic powers that uses also her charm to make things easier for her and Amir (Stell Ajero) the concious body builder that wants to express the power is not in the mind but in the heart of believing who will be joining her as companions in her special mission. Together, they will travel in different parts of the Archipelago in search of the 10 powerful Pearl of the Orient and the clues leading to where the 10 presidents hid the Pearl of the Orient. As they face peril after peril in their adventures, Mara, Mayari, and Amir will find something more precious than the pearls they are after.
