The fire dragons of the Inero are a tribe of tradition that seeks to bring glory to the empire. Twin brothers Matteo and Eian are overflowing with magic. Matteo is strong in aggressive spells meant to destroy, while Eian is powerful in protective magics. Together, they are an unstoppable force. Their father, the Great Lord of the Inero plans to use this gift for conquest.

Eian fights against this destiny. Matteo is too blinded by his loyalty to question it.

Enter Reina and Camila: two women from two drastically different backgrounds. Each is taken from her home. Reina sees it as a blessing and embracing joining the dragon-shifters in her exciting new life. Camila is terrified as she enters the fray as another piece in a political game she doesn't want to participate in.

All have a role they're expected to play. Refusal means a fate worse than death. Compliance could mean the same, but it's the only glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel.
