But through the selflessness of one young woman, my ancestor, hope was given and the rise of a new world was forged.

In order for the Rift Cities to see the Dawn, an Ascension of 12 Weavers must happen every 10 cycles or the world would be cast again in Darkness.

Ben-Yamira Song is a reincarnation of the Goddess of Love, one of the Tetra, the 4 Great Bakka Gods. 80,000 years ago, she sacrificed herself in the Great War between Gods of Heaven and Chaos in order to give humanity a chance to survive. Many years later, she's reborn as a seemingly normal mortal girl. Albeit, she's a bit flighty, reserved and seeming to lack ambition, to the dismay of her lady warrior mother but otherwise a regular teenager.

In reality, she secretly wishes to become a Spyder, a position belonging only to the best Practioners of Red String Ather. However, it's a very prestigious Guild, so highly sought and desired, it only accepts males to apprentice and learn the trade.

Her plans all go awry, when her mother sets her up with an unwanted suitor during the Moon Festival, causing her to flee.

In her escape, she then stumbles across Tai-Joon Han, an enigmatic boy who's also running from his past. He's actually the reincarnation of the God of War. The two accidentally become bound by the red string of fate. So until they can figure out a way to remove it, the two are stuck together. In the meantime, between getting pulled into adventures, sorting out her new found status as the Ishtar, the pair grow close and maybe it isn't so bad after all, being bound together.
