Once upon a time, in the illustrious Emerald Kingdom, there lived a woman whose beauty rivaled the most enchanting of fairy tales. Born a princess, she possessed a grace and kindness that captivated all who beheld her. Yet, despite her gentle spirit, life had been unkind to her from the very beginning. Her father, the formidable King of the Emerald Kingdom, harbored a deep-seated resentment toward her and her mother. Yearning for a male heir to carry on his legacy, he could not conceal his disappointment when his queen failed to provide him with a son. This disappointment festered into hatred, poisoning the once harmonious bond between father and daughter. As the years passed, the rift between the king and his family widened, until one fateful day when a grave matter forced the queen to flee with her newborn daughter in tow. They sought refuge in a humble abode, where they found solace and respite from the turmoil that had engulfed their lives. For a time, they lived in relative peace, the princess cherishing the fleeting moments of happiness she shared with her devoted mother. However, tragedy struck when her mother succumbed to death, leaving the young princess to fend for herself in a cruel and unforgiving world. Cast adrift in a sea of adversity, the princess's once-charmed existence took a drastic turn. Sold into slavery by unscrupulous merchants, she endured hardships beyond measure, her spirit battered but never broken. Yet, amid the darkness that threatened to consume her, the princess discovered glimmers of hope and resilience. Once upon a time there was a beautiful kingdom... Scratch that. this was a kingdom ruled by a malicious king. Once the Good king of the land past the queen had no choice to marry someone to help her rule the kingdom. Her son was too young and she couldn't keep it up on her own. The prince was mistreated and locked away in the castle by his evil step-father. The mystery remains why. When the prince escapes, having the knowledge that the king is locking him away out of fear of the power he possesses, and tries to leave. The guards are constantly searching for him and he is trapped in the town of Magnolia. When the beautiful maiden, Lucy Heartfillia, helps him away from the guards, he contemplates telling her that he is the prince. Before he can do anything strange events occur possibly reveling his true power. She helps him through all in his troubled times, and the prince cant help but fall in love with the beautiful maiden in the times of trouble. [SLOW UPDATES] Characters belong to Hiro Mashima.
