Unfriended is a short story about a genderfluid teen, Alex Holloway, whose best friend, Jess Dawson, turns out to not be as supportive as they seem. Alex ultimately cuts Jess off but struggles with the aftermath of it.
When dealing with the grief of having to cut off their best friend, Alex struggles with their mental health. At the same time, Alex starts to get to know a new person, Nik Olsen who seems to understand Alex better than Jess ever could.
