Alexandra Malcadiza was a peasant girl in the Goldivia Kingdom who swore to herself that one day she would become a princess.
Excerpt:
"When I grew up, I wanted to be the crown princess of Goldivia Kingdom and make the royals beg on their knees!" That was her line when she was only six years old, which terrified her parents.
"My dear sweet child, you can't say something like that in a crowd." Her mother softly mumbled.
"Why?" The little girl innocently asked her mother.
"The people will mock you, and that is against the law of our Kingdom. A girl like you can't marry a prince." Her mother answered, and she cried bucket that night since she thought marrying a prince would be easy.
Growing up, she hated the unfair laws and regulations of their kingdom, especially the Royal family, and Alexandra longed for change. When she turned eighteen, she became obsessed with being part of the royal family to access power and to have a voice in the kingdom.
Prince Lucian Woodsire is the Crown Prince of the Goldivia Kingdom. He lived in luxury his whole life and never associated himself with the slaves since, for him, they lived in different worlds. He swore never to fall in love with a slave like what the fortune teller had told him.
The King released a decree that shocked the kingdom and made the council members question his decision. But the King's order should be followed, which terrified the prince.
An opportunity knocked on Alex's doorstep when she learned about the decree, and she felt so excited to carry out her mission and realize her dreams.
Is Alexnadra brave enough to fight and prove her worth? Can she navigate inside the palace full of treachery without jeopardizing her own heart after meeting the crown prince and realizing he is her first love?
Can Prince Lucian fight his ego, or will he accept defeat after finding out the slave they were talking about was the beautiful maiden he had been dreaming of?
Adrenaline pumped in my veins as I pressed myself against the large tree trunk, hoping the darkness would conceal me from my impending doom. My heart hammered against my ribs and cold sweat gathered at my palms and chest.
His armor clanked and clinked, scraping against itself as he grew closer and closer... Then silence.
"Come out little rabbit." The voice was deep and menacing, and I would've soiled myself right there if I were any younger.
I couldn't see very well, but I could see what little moonlight that filtered through the trees reflected off a pale face.
His gaze was like a hungry, crazed wolf hunting its prey. "Found you."
