The Imperfect Queen

"Jennifer, this is last time I'm going to say this." he spoke, his fists clenched in an attempt to control his burning anger,

"You are under my protection," he spoke stressing every word, clearly meaning he was not playing around this time,

"Pardon me, 'your highness', I'm under NO ONE'S protection, I've got two perfectly healthy hands and legs by the grace of god, which can make sure that I don't need any fucking protection."

She could have sworn 10 dollars that when she mock called him, 'your highness', he nearly lost his composure. Feeling a bad premonition, Jenny started walking away, her instincts were always on point,

She didn't make it far, before she felt a forceful tug that made her lose her balance and fall backwards, his forearm was supporting her back preventing her fall, his other hand held the back of neck in place,

His face was an inch away from hers, his eyes were fixed at her lips as she gasped in surprise, the warm air fanning his face as he inhaled the strawberry candy smell in her breath,

she wanted to shout at him to let go but she couldn't, those green eyes held something primal in it, that she was scared, if something wrong was spoken, it might break free.

He slowly brought his gaze back to her shocked ones,

"If you even think of pulling anymore tricks like this, I will make sure you won't be able to use you perfectly healthy hands and legs, am I fucking clear?"
