fire, air, water, earth... for so long these elements coexisted with each other, in perfect balance and harmony... but that all ended when the fire Nation attacked, fire no longer appeared as an element of life... fire appeared as an element of destruction, destroying everyone and everything in its path to glory. the avatar, the only one who could master all four elements, the bridge between worlds, and the only hope of stopping the fire Nation, vanished when the world needed him most... it is stated that the myth of the avatar began over a thousand years ago, and that even now the avatar still reincarnates... but with the world already in a state of peace, and bending being long forgotten, why would the world need an avatar? why would anyone want a kid shooting fire in the streets? or a kid who can take down submarines by just shifting the current? or a kid who can casually chuck boulders at people? or a kid who can send you flying into the air? or a kid who can do all of that and far more? the world certainly didn't need an avatar, it already had a shit load of problems... so what happens when the current avatar disappears?... y/n l/n doesn't know the answer to that question either, he simply just woke up in a world he didn't recognize... with no memory of how he got there, or who sent him there. but he does know one thing, he's there to fix the errors of the past... to find what was not supposed to happen, and make sure to change the future to the way it was supposed to be. as for the rest? y/n'll figure that out on the way, after all... he's still just a kid.
