before too long, though, she starts to make friends. she starts to enjoy her classes. maybe things aren't as bad as she thought they were.
and then she meets robby keene, the kind of boy she probably shouldn't be hanging around with. it's not like they're from opposite sides of the tracks, but the things he does, the stuff he involves himself in, they're things her mom and dad might expressly forbid, if they knew she was hanging around with someone like him.
but she can't deny the things he makes her feel. she'd fight for that, for him.
