At the start of the new millennium, ten-year-old Emily's made-up mysteries and snooping keeps getting her into trouble, and no one at school likes her because of it. Not fitting in, and getting bored of her favorite books, she doesn't know who she should be.

Worried, her mom takes her out for a girls' day at the mall and Emily spots a Ouija board promising answers. Her mom refuses to let her buy it, so in the lamplight of her bedroom, she scrawls one herself and whispers to the spirit realm for help.

Contact is made with a spirit named Morrigan who has forgotten her past, and they agree to help each other so both of them can move on. But a dark mystery unfolds as they go searching for Morrigan's past. Emily makes a new friend, secrets are kept, and guilt and betrayal come between her and the spirit.

As tensions rise, Emily seeks the guidance of three young witches for help. Now, she must learn to live for herself before losing herself forever.

One side turned to the light, and used their gifts cautiously; while the other embraced the dark, and death always followed. Present Day... After moving into a haunted house, gifted twins Max and Megan Blackwell hear of the legend and discover they've moved to a town that hate and fear them because of their name. With the help of new allies they must decide who to trust as they fight against evil, both the living, and the dead, and struggle to find their untold destiny as The Chosen Ones... At 37, Cambry Keller has spent her entire life feeling as if something was just a bit... off. Her job, her relationships, her home-all perfectly ordinary, yet there was always a nagging feeling deep within her that she was meant for something more, something extraordinary. But nothing ever changed, and soon, she resigned herself to the quiet monotony of her life. Until the fall after she turned 37. In the span of a single autumn, everything Cambry thought she knew about herself-and the world around her-was turned upside down. Strange dreams begin to haunt her nights, filled with forgotten symbols and places she's never been, yet feels intimately familiar. Her body begins to change in subtle, unexplainable ways: heightened senses, a newfound connection to the natural world, and the inexplicable ability to influence the elements. As the leaves fall, Cambry uncovers long-buried family secrets that reveal her true heritage: a powerful bloodline with ties to an ancient mystical order. The dormant magic within her awakens, and Emily finds herself thrust into a world of enchantment, danger, and ancient forces vying for control. Her journey of self-discovery leads her to allies and enemies, both human and supernatural, as she grapples with the powerful abilities she never knew she possessed. But as her powers grow, so too does a looming threat. Cambry must learn to control the magic that now courses through her veins, or risk not only her life, but the fate of the world. In this transformative season, Cambry will come to understand that she is not just different-she is extraordinary. And the time for her true purpose has finally come.

While her best friend Cassidy snacks on brie and boys in France, Darcy Li-Quinn must face her last year of high school and the unpredictable wrath of her sister, Danica, alone. Darcy's plan for dealing with Danica and her heinous friends is simple-be invisible. But first, she's promised Cassidy she'll do 'one brave thing'. Mustering the courage to say 'hi' to the cute boy on the bus, Darcy expects rejection or indifference. She doesn't anticipate a grumpy ghost with unfinished business who needs her help. Suddenly, a quiet year of flying under the radar looks increasingly unlikely. *** Rationally, Hunter Viera knows that his brother's death wasn't his fault. But that doesn't stop his guilt about Archer invading his every thought or lessen the grief sitting heavy in his chest. Changing schools offers a fresh start, and Hunter's plan is simple-be invisible. But he hasn't counted on Darcy, or her ludicrous claim that Archer speaks to her from beyond the grave. Suddenly, a quiet year of sitting on the sidelines looks increasingly unlikely. *** This is a story about hearts and hope and public transport. This is Darcy and Hunter's story (and a little bit Archer's too). *** 'Get A Life' is my entry for Open Novella Contest 2023 and is inspired by the following prompts. 20. You finally build enough courage to talk to that cute someone you see every day on the bus. Their face turns dark as they respond "You shouldn't be able to see me." 9. There's an urban legend that's been circulating for years about a taxi cab that doesn't take you where you want to go, but where you need to go. One night, you stepped into this cab.

Inspired by a fic I read on AO3. Trigger warning: antisemitism, ablism, transphobia, abuse, dysfunctional house holds, implied self harm and active self harm, mentions of suicide, graphic depictions of fire and death, hallucinations, religious views and bullying, graphic depictions of violence, implications of rape and torture, cannibalism and rot, murder and major character death. A slow burn "possession" and recruitment Alfred Jones and Dimir Vladistov, victims Y and Z. Yurchenvile, home of the one true peace and power, church of the true god and his priesthood. Filled with flowers and lakes, stone paths and dark wooden buildings, long gowns with skin and bones. Gilbert's second home is in this community, and it his mission to picked the next chosen ones, Y and Z. Bring in the board, board made with love and care, if they ask what is is just say ouija. Board of the god, board of gods chosen bodies. Form a bond and life carefree, your body now belongs to me. Book is meant to be a slow detailed read rather than jumping into things head first, this helps keep people reading as they have a longer book and more anticipation the longer they read as things begin to turn rough.
