Rhaena Yarrow, although only 10 years old, is fighting to survive in the dystopian city of Obsidiales. When she forgets something she hold valuable, she must go to find it. This one misplaced item sends Rhaena on a trip to keep her new accomplices from dying. When they get caught in a fiasco and the government starts following them, trying to dispose of them, they're going to have to escape. Of course, unless they want to die. (Which they don't want at all.) How will Rhaena keep her life? Will she realize that being cold and hardened won't help her with her plans of escaping?
