Just because a family appears to be financially secure, a success, and ideal does not imply that they are perfect on the inside; in fact, most wealthy families are entangled in scandals. Ariana has been bullied her entire life, not only by classmates but even by her family. Her father is not only verbally and emotionally cruel to her, but he also physically abuses her on occasion. Her sister treats her horribly, and for what reason? Simply because Ariana is obese. With all of the misery they have caused Ariana, she flees with her baby, but five years later she returns with a completely different appearance and manner, most crucially to hunt for her lost twin daughter. They will be held accountable for the suffering they have inflicted. ⚠️WARNING⚠️ There are some extremely delicate moments in this novel. I would strongly advise against reading this book or skipping over the uncomfortable passages if you are sensitive to sexual assault, bullying, or abuse.
