Savannah never expected her freshman year of college to be this complicated before it even began. Struggling with trauma and just a month out of a mental health facility, she's trying to find her way while keeping everyone at arm's length. The last thing she needs? Realising she's in love with her best friend, Cameron, who's been there for her through it all.

Cameron has his own battles to fight. After losing his sister and almost losing Savannah, his best friend he's secretly in love with, he's haunted by the past. To escape the pain, he throws himself into hockey, becoming one of the top players on the team, hoping to outrun his grief. But when a school assignment pairs him with Savannah, he's forced to confront everything he's been avoiding.

As they spend more time together, their feelings for each other grow stronger. But love has never been easy--especially when the past threatens to pull them under.
