One small change can save your life
I was inspired by the fan fiction Nest of love by rosette on AO3, and decided to make my own. Harry goes through a rougher than normal beating from his relatives before they leave him and go on vacation. This beating was so bad Harry's magic couldn't keep up and as a last attempt to save his life activated a rare gene deep in his blood. in doing so he sent out a beacon to two beings harry's magic deemed safe for him through a realistic Patronus sent out by his magic. In doing so this sent harry to a place that would heal him, and provide what he always wanted. A family.
The Lesson Taught by Self-Punishment (Snarry)
Having a dormant creature gene ended up being the key to surviving Nagini's bite. The venom mutated his cells and his creature was awoken. The only trade-off; he had to mate soon if he wanted to survive. Now, while there might not be destined mates, the creature does choose another based on their strength and eligibility. When Harry came past the hospital to make sure Snape was okay, the creature flared up and chose him. Severus knows he can't be with Harry. But he will die otherwise. He says nothing and begins to deteriorate. Concerned, Harry demands to know what the problem is so Snape begrudgingly tells him. Harry is torn between accepting and not wanting to at all, but gives in, not wanting Snape to die after everything he'd done. Creature goal completed, Snape turns his back on everything and hides away. When news of Harry Potter's child hits the front page three years later, Severus' creature nearly dies, taking Snape with him. Only Harry can save him. But does he deserve it? (Obv Harry Potter and co belong to JK Rowling. I created the Elf though, and the child.)Complete

Harry Potter is five years old now, though he does not look it. He looks more like a small four or three year old. But, that's not the end of it. The fact that none of his neighbors know he exists, that he sleeps in a cupboard, even that his parents are dead, is not the end, nor the worst of it. No, the worst, is his uncle. The reason he doesn't speak, look at anyone, barely even breathe. Each night, he hopes for someone to come and save him, but they never come. No matter how hard he wishes, how hard he hopes, it seems he will be stuck there forever, or until his slow, agonizing march to death ends. One night, after hoping and hoping, he starts to realize he will never get saved, helped, even comforted, for his entire life. Early Creature Inheritance
Harry Potter goes into hiding with his parents Lily and James Potter when the Dark Lord helps them fake their deaths but Harry does get the lightning bolt because Tom manages somehow to make him his seventh and last horcrux. When Harry turns 11, he goes into an early creature inheritance (Creature Inheritance in this book is when you turn 14, but because Harry went into his, Draco did as well, Tom already had his) and breaks everything of what Dumbledore had put him on, so Dumbledore is in for a surprise when Harry is put in Slytherin and becomes the mate of not only Draco Malfoy but also Tom Marvolo Riddle and Dumbledore is very surprised to see that Lily and James Potter are still alive and on the dark side, Sirius is freed and reunited with his 2 best friends one of which is his mate.
