In 1973, in the Peruvian jungles, Ezekiel Sims and Constance Webb discover a unique spider with healing properties. After Ezekiel betrays Constance, leading to her death post giving birth to Cassandra, the story leaps to 2003 Queens, New York, where Cassandra, now a paramedic, begins experiencing visions of the future following a near-death incident. As Ezekiel, now with enhanced abilities and the same foresight, targets 4 young adults he believes will kill him, Cassandra intervenes, uncovering her mother's notes about Ezekiel's powers. Despite various confrontations and a journey that reveals her mother's intentions to save her from a hereditary disease, Cassandra successfully thwarts Ezekiel's plans, ultimately fulfilling a destiny that sees her blind and paralyzed but with an expanded connection to foresee the future, committing to guide the young adults into their future roles.
