"He arrived on my 10th birthday. Our eyes met and have never quite let go of each other since, almost 60 years later. My birthday was, and therefore will always be, the day of our special bond. At ten years old, David and Robin became neighbors. An immediate trust tied them together, through invented rituals, shared adventures.
