Mei is Jake's twin.
They were inseparable, until little by little, Jake began to behave strangely. He started fighting for the Na'vi and won the war. Mei felt shocked by Jake's decision but understood him. Quaritch took out his anger at Jake on her hurting her. Years passed and after much effort she managed to escape and found shelter in the riff area.
What will happen? Will she see her twin again?
