Grailand is on the verge of war, as a power-hungry Reign Supreme Harald Ikalot, wants to bring all the free regions down under his foot. The Council of Citadels, Grailand's highest governing body consisting of leaders of all four kinds of magic is in disunity about the upcoming conflict.

Yet, darker things are about to fall on the realm. A crack has appeared on the Obsidian Stone, the sole source of all magic in Grailand. If destroyed, the stone is expected to unleash a power so strong it can erase humanity once and for all.

As the king and the Council are too busy with war and intrigues, Bal Harriott, a young descendant of the previous royal family, now a bounty hunter, becomes the only person to set on a journey to save the Stone. A dangerous path lies ahead, and Bal is not looking forward to it. But when the fate of humanity is at stake, he answers the call, rolling his eyes and swearing to all the five high gods.

The Mad King's Throne

17 parts Complete

(Tales of Vothguard I) The final day of the mad king is close, and Beatrice, the mad king's wife must decide the fate of the throne. Without an heir the kingdom of star hold Stands on the brink of total collapse. Follow the journey of Beatrice a devote worshiper of the rival gods in her quest to redeem the kingdom. Note: Decided to change the name and the fictional lands name to avoid confusion. This book has been republished due to the name. (Moravia - Vothgaurd) I really liked the sound of Vothgaurd as it captured a more darker tone to what I'm looking for. The old name was an actual place and I didn't want to creat any confusion.
