Olivia Madden who was once a sweet all A's student, put up a brick wall of stubbornness and attitude to hide her pain.

The pain that most teenagers suffer from, Insecurities.

But it wasn't just that for Olivia, It was also the pain of her father's death, the pain she felt from her mother's beauty standards, and the pressure her mother would put on her to be the perfect daughter. And the pain from what her step father did.

Olivia abused drugs to help cope with her pain because it was the only way she could feel good. Olivia got into bad habits and her mother didn't know how to get through to her, so she did what she had to and sent her to Horizon to help her recover.

No matter how hard anyone tried they couldn't even chisel away a dent in that brick wall that she kept up 24/7. Well that was before Scott.

Scott is also a troubled teenager who turned to drugs to help him forget about all his pain he was experiencing in his household.

[This story will be touching topic such as, Self-Harm, Drug Abuse, Alcoholism, Eating Disorders, Molestation, swearing, and will have some mature content etc....]

[This will follow Season 1s storyline of Higher Ground so they own everything, I just made Olivia and came up with any added convo, events, etc...]

[I also made this because apparently Higher Ground isn't that big of a TV show and there isn't a lot of books about Scott Barringer]

⚠WARNING: VERY CRINGE AND MESSY, MAJOR PLOTHOLES, I STARTED IT LIKE TWO YEARS AGO. ⚠ . Rose Woods has been with her foster father Jordan Lukes ever since she was 9. Ever since her brothers abandoned her because of someone else, she had built a wall against others, barring her from showing her emotions. Staying in the foster care system for 2 years after her mother's death, she learned how to mask her emotions and be ruthless. That mask crumbled when Jordan adopted her and started starving and abusing her. But she still faced the walls outside of that house with a cold facade. But when he dies due to drunk driving and she has to go back to her brothers who abandoned her, what will she do? Will she make her walls more stronger for them? Or will she let them break in? What will she do when her past begins to catch up with her? How will her brothers react when they find out she's in the Mafia? So many questions. And various answers. Which one will it be? ⚠TRIGGER WARNING⚠ ●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●●□ Hey! This is just a little bit different version of "It Hurts" that is on my other account @deeply_in_thought20. Altered by LuellaOpal
30 parts Complete Mature
Have you ever met someone who alters the course of your life? For good or for bad, they've come in, given and taken, and then- BOOM! Your life was never the same. There's always a change, an altering of reality. When you meet those people, the reality that you've known your whole life is suddenly gone and a new one has taken its place. When those moments happen, there's no going back. You can try to return to the way things were but nothing, and I mean nothing, can take you back to exactly how it was. That's what happened to us. I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. But in some ways, I'm glad you're not a part of it. I just wish it wasn't like this. *** TRIGGER WARNING*** SA, abuse, suicide, substance abuse, and mental illness. This is a complete story that is much like life; fast, full of surprises, and not always how we want it to be. This has been a project of mine for over three years. It was self-published on Amazon, but after some issues in publication, I decided to just upload it on here. I hope you fall in love with these characters like I have. The friends in this story are trying to make names for themselves, figure out who they are, who they can trust, how to love, and how to separate themselves from a restrictive community. As in any coming of age story, they will experience growing pains... but will they survive them before its too late? PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS.
The Bad Boy is Back (Book 2) by Jenleighna

(Book 2) *Contains spoilers below* "I needed more closure than what you gave me." I half lied. "It feels like an open wound someone keeps pouring salt on." His expression remained hard and cold. Almost distant. "I don't know what you want from me, Willow. You coming here isn't closing any wounds, it's just opening up old ones." I let out a sigh and rubbed my hands over my face. "I just needed to see you, okay? It's a relief to know you're even alive right now." I was begging myself not to cry. Noah shifted a little and folded his arms against his chest. "I don't know what you want me to say." "Anything is better than nothing." I said as I took a step closer. "I missed you. A lot." He peeked from under the mess of curls falling over his eyes. "You want me to tell you I missed you too? Is that what you're doing here?" I clenched my jaw shut and curled my fingers into fists at my sides. "I don't want anything from you." Scott isn't gone...yet. But he still refuses to let Noah go without harming anyone Noah cares about. It's been nine months since Scott took Noah under his wing and moved away from California. Willow hasn't seen either of them since the night Noah left with the promise to come back. When Willow finds Noah, she didn't expect what she finds. Noah's completely transformed into something she never thought she would see again. Besides the arrogant, obnoxious attitude, came countless tattoos, a ring through his lip, and a new name. With Scott still lingering and Noah's new found attitude, there's bound to be a little trouble. Way more than Willow bargained for. And maybe, just maybe, Scott isn't the real enemy.
Fragmented Morality by UnlikelyKings
12 parts Ongoing Mature
When the world collapses around you and everything that was 'normal' decays, discerning reality is no longer an innate process, but rather a distorted sense of one's self. Reality was now something created on the basis of an individual's morality and a group's ability to coexist. However, when this was the way of living before the apocalypse, when this was how Christopher Peletier had to survive every day of his life- surviving based entirely on his step-fathers fragmented morality, what changed? What made now different from before? The answer is nothing. The world was exactly the same, and eighteen-year-old Chris had a plan. For his family, he separates himself from the truth. He knows he is more than what he was told, he knows what is, will not be forever. He knows he is strong enough to keep his loved ones safe, too. If he could just endure a little more so that, when the time came, he could take the opportunity granted to him to free himself, his mother, and his sister from their constraints. At the first chance he got, he was going to live by first destroying the part of his life that made his family quiet and miserable. That way nobody would ever be able to dictate the way he, or the ones he cared about, lived their lives. - This is just a story I'm writing alongside my main one when I am in the mood. This means there is nothing saying when it will be updated, but I do have plans for it just like my other one!
