Reach, one of humanity's most important planets besides earth. As the Covenant invade the planet, A group emerges to take on the alien threat at hand and protect Reach from falling at all costs. Even if the UNSC considers them rogue. Their name is.... Aurora.
WARNING: This story will have intense violence and gore. It also includes strong language. Read at your own discretion. This story isn't also light hearted. Halo never was light hearted.

By the year 2015 humans have developed practical means of interstellar travel, but as they expand further out into the Milky Way, they disturb a previously unknown race of alien beings. Very shortly after the USAs United National Space Command [UNSC] discovers their exsitence, the aliens, known as Ecarians, send several scouting parties out to find the humans planet. One of the scouting parties lands outside of Des Plaines, Illinois which has a heavy population of supernaturals. One of them, a Sergeant from the local SWAT team by the name of Zuton Cruton, befriends one of the aliens, Zorra. She convinces the leader of their squad, Will, who is also the Deputy of the aliens, to ask to call off the attack. He aggrees, but his request is harshly denied and he and several other aliens defect to the humans side just in time for the invasion by the Ecarian Space Navy [ESN] of Earth...
