This story isn't finished!! I really want to finish the book, I would LOVE any feedback I can possibly get!!
Summary: Young Michael struggles with bullying and self-doubt, particularly in the presence of his older brother and his brother's friends. After stepping outside to gaze at the pool and breathe, he begins to encounter strange, supernatural forces, including a talking tree named Aegros, who challenges Michael's courage and self-worth. As Michael grapples with these eerie encounters, he is drawn into a deeper, unsettling journey that forces him to confront his fears, both physical and emotional, in order to prove himself.

Book One in the My Mate Series - "Elijah," Alexander calls in this terrifying voice. I know it's dangerous but I ignore him, I keep my eyes shut and continue to rock myself back and forth, my hands blocking my ears. I didn't want to look at him, I didn't want to see those black orbs. "Look at me." He demands, his voice depicting his rage. "No," I whisper. "Look at me or I swear, I will do it!" He shouts. I'm not completely sure what 'it' is but I'm sure it has to do with death.
