An Innocent Warrior (Completed)
In World War Two, there was a small girl, living in a small house in London. She was 8 years old and didn't understand much about what was going on, all she knew is that her dad and her brother both had to leave to fight in the war. The only one that she had left was her mom, which was suffering from depression and couldn't really help her get through the hard times. As Elizabeth, the little girl, began to grow up, her mom died, her bother and her dad never showed up again at her house, which left her completely alone. She lost her house, she lost her family and all that she had left was herself. One day, at 16 years old, when she was walking down the street, she suddenly heard gunshots and all hell broke loose in front of her eyes. She was shocked, she didn't know what to do, since she thought that the war was over. However, one guy that was also part of the military, saw her. He looked around her age, and when he saw her standing there without moving, he saved her. This is the story about young love. A flight nurse, specifically, where she'd be on board with the men, aiding them when needed, her skills there to help save lives that would be lost if she weren't on board. Through this process, Simone met the men she would be stationed with, being those of the 100th Bomb Group. They all seemed okay in Simone's opinion- except for one, that is. John D. Brady, the bane of her existence- he was insufferable, always cranky, and for some reason hated her before she could even have a real conversation with him. The hatred was mutual, of course- however, the hatred was quick to morph into something different, something more friendly after the two encountered near-death situations. It was something that resembled love- something that was love, and it was so very clearly the one thing that was destined to save them in the end.
