Quinn Johnson is a hiding. Hiding behind the shame of her past. Her dad is in jail for murder and her mom is an abusive alcoholic. Everyday, she puts on a wig, tunes out the world and acts like everything's fine. She even created a new name: Erica. Nico Olsen is hiding too. Well, in a rather different way. He was adopted, and never knew his real parents. He's been searching to find them because he has a lot of questions that need answers. He is different. He can do things that aren't humanly possible. He's even taken it upon himself to be the town's very own superhero. He hides in the shadows, and no one knows who he really is. Including himself. Nico and 'Erica' were best friends when they were kids, but one day, she stopped communicating with him. Everyone has secrets. Everyone has a disguise, and everyone is waiting for them to be revealed.

There's always been something missing in Stevie's life. She just doesn't know what or who it is. When Stevie's father starts to act suspicious, she takes it upon herself to find out what he's hiding. But when she finally sees what secret he's keeping from her, will she be able to handle it? Will all of the pain be worth it when she finally discovers this missing thing? Can she stand to hold her strength through thick and thin, like the way her father raised her? And who's to say that an adorable teenage boy can't get in the way in all of this? Life is tough when you're sixteen. It's even tougher when you're Stevie Roberts. *please be forewarned that this was the first story i ever posted on this site. needless to say my writing style has changed and improved tremendously since then (at least i think it has). proceed with caution.*
