Love and War

A world where you're named after your ability, or, blessing, as they call it. And a boy born into dysfunctional royalty and a disastrous war. He meets a friend when his family sends him off, well, besides the fact that this friend has killed his brother and is actively trying to kill the rest of his family, without any motivation from the enemy side as well.
