Bambi Winters, saved from years of abuse at the hands of her father, is rushed to Gaffney after being liberated from his basement.
She listens well and only speaks when she is asked questions, but she seems to have no real opinions on anything.
Doctor Charles makes the decision that she stay on the psych ward indefinitely as he is sure that he can help her.
Bambi soon becomes part of the furniture around the hospital, not comfortable leaving Doctor Charles side, the doctors and nurses soon learn that she is an asset. As, unfortunately, she has been through enough that she can empathise with just about anyone that comes through the doors.
