8 parts Complete

Only those passionate can survive the firewall. Matt, John, Clarke, and Rose make up a group of friends who've never met in person but share a bond as if they have from spending the last year together in the virtual world on the cusp of obliteration. A year ago, virtual reality had blossomed into a haven for young adults to connect, play, and explore life together. What drove the sudden popularity was a game fueled by players' desires, where they could embody anyone or anything. The four friends were some of the first drawn into this captivating world, their virtual personas becoming well known. But nothing could have prepared them for the sudden emergence of the firewall, a mystery that would change everything. Now, with three days left, four friends have to make what lasting memories they can while avoiding the gaping maw of the firewall when not navigating their lives outside the game. Still, a question looms, with an answer seemingly out of reach. Is there a way to stop the firewall's advance and avoid obliteration, or will this be the end of their friendship? Obliteration's Countdown is a story told from multiple character perspectives.
