The Weight of Rhyfelwyr

The Rhyfelwyr empire has ruled over Adestria for 500 years. Known for being brutal conquerors, generations of kings slowly expanded their rule over most of the continent, slaughtering countless bloodlines. Elysia is the last free country on the continent and the only country to defeat Adestria's armies.

Raela Rhyfelwyr is the first female heir to the throne who's spent her entire life fighting to prove her worth. The 21-year-old spends most of her time training with her warriors, hoping to become the most feared Rhyfelwyr in history. When her father decided it's time to test her, a Rhyfelwyr tradition used for heirs to prove their worth, he gives her an impossible task: conquer Elysia.

The bloodthirsty princess has 12 moons to befriend Prince Theon of Elysia, and then kill his entire family. Killing him should be easy, especially considering how much Theon hates her. Except, the more time she spends in Elysia, the more she starts to doubt her own beliefs and upbringing. She's eventually faced with an impossible decision: honor the friendships she's forged or fulfill her dreams of being the most infamous Rhyfelwyr in history.

Theon then stalked forward, blood from his ear ran down the side of his neck, a few drops splattered on his shoulder.

When he got close to Raela, she took a step back. He continued to press forward until her back was against the wall. His arms came up, caging her in. He leaned down, a wicked grin on his face that made Raela freeze.

"And I hope I find you to be a threat, Princess Raela Rhyfelwyr," he whispered into her ear. His lips just barely touched the shell of her ear, his warm breath sent a shiver down her spine. She should push him off, but she enjoyed his proximity, enjoyed the way her name rolled off his tongue. "I can't wait to make you bleed."
