"Doom at Your Doorstep"  is a fan fiction story of Tak Dong-kyung, a pragmatic web novel editor of "Life story web novel company" , receives a devastating terminal diagnosis. Feeling as though her life is slipping away without fulfilling her dreams, she inadvertently summons a mysterious being named Myul Mang, whose ominous title means "doom" in Korean. Surprisingly, Myul Mang offers her a Faustian bargain: he will grant her every wish, but in exchange, she must give up her life. There are some secrets and appearances from the shadows of Seoul that try to disrupt their story.

  The story also includes Myul-mang's older brother Angma , Tak Dong-kyung's fellow web novel editorial leader, Cha Joo-ik, who harbors unrequited feelings for her  Na Ji-na, and Na Ji-na, her vivacious best friend and a talented webtoon artist. Additionally, Tak Dong-kyung's younger brother, Tak Sun-kyung, provides support and stability during her tumultuous journey. 
  
  Amidst the backdrop of impending doom, poignant romances unfold between the characters, particularly between Tak Dong-kyung and Myul Mang, as well as the dynamic between Cha Joo-ik, Na Ji-na, and Lee Hyun-gyu, a romantic webtoon writer who is Cha Joo-ik's younger brother. Together, they confront the inevitability of fate and the fleeting nature of existence, delving deep into themes of destiny, love, and the inherent value of life.
