Reader is female for this one !! I made this because of my newfound obsession with LMK (Lego Monkie Kid, go watch it if you haven't, I recommend!) and also because of my love for Monkey King. Watched 'Amnesia Rules' and one thing lead to another! I adored Sun Wukong's mannerisms and enthusiasm in this episode and I thought, 'hey why not make a lil fanfic based around a young Wukong in his Journey to the West?' so here we are dear readers. [ON HOLD] "You wouldn't get it, Kid. She was someone who went through a life line of pain just for a single purpose of protecting another." Sun Wukong sighed, letting his feet dangle off the edge of the ship, the wind was harshly blowing against him. Even when the ship was sitting still, the deserts wind was still harsh. Mk, sensing a new story to learn, sat down next to his mentor with excitement. Only when he saw the somber look did he realize the weight this story had on him. "Um... Who is she again?" Mk asked, rubbing the back of his neck, looking backwards to the rest of the crew. Sun Wukong grumbled words before shaking his head with a sigh. "Someone that I had accidentally mistreated." Mk turned back around as the rest of the crew got closer to listen in on Wukongs story. His tail was carefully tucked next to him as he rested his head in a palm. "She was just trying to do her job, but slowly her friends fell one by one. They were driven to insanity from the burden their job held. She was the strongest one, and she was the last to fall. She succumbed to her power, and it slowly ran through her. All I can say is that the last thing that remained of her was a pile of ash." Wukong slowly pulled a small looking urn. Unaware of their true nature and forms, you take care of them while journeying. You never expected them to grow attached to you, and honestly, neither did they. During a battle, Macaque gets injured, the group does not yet trust Macaque and is still skeptical so they leave the monkey king to watch over him, not only to make sure he is well healed but also so he doesn't run off or do anything destructive. The healing process is slow and painful, it hurts to even use his power. He finds himself unable to even move from his bed some morning. On the verge of death, Sun Wukong is worried for his ex-best friend.Complete
