God Beasts once ruled the world until a certain entity began amassing a cult to hunt them down in a foolish attempt to achieve true godhood. One of them was captured and experimented with otherworldly technology. Though managing to escape the ordeal, she gained a scar that fuels her hatred on humans.

Meanwhile, a female mage-in-training, who was ironically unable to master magic despite her efforts , was forced to traverse into the deep woods as her pet Gremlin found a crashed sky fortress.

It is at this moment, that the mage witnessed a god beast, injured yet maddened, with her very own eyes.
