THE UNSTABLE PACT
A Cursed Witch. A Captive God. An Irrevocable Bond. For years, Lyra Blackwood has been slowly dying, tainted by the ancestral Ash Curse-a slow, miserable rot that has claimed her entire lineage. Desperate for a cure, she attempts the forbidden: a volatile ritual to harness a captured entity of pure power. Instead of a cure, she finds Kaelen, the devastatingly beautiful Lord of Shadow, and accidentally binds him to her very soul. - he shouldn't like it but to be free? or to actually fall in love? The pact should be simple: her command, his power. But Lyra quickly learns the horrifying truth: the curse is not a disease, but a centuries-old Seal maintaining Kaelen's prison. By binding him, she hasn't created a cure; she's created the perfect key to his absolute freedom. Now, Lyra must survive the mounting danger-the zealous Coven Hunter pursuing them, the total collapse of her moral world, and the volatile, icy hunger that flares every time she is forced to draw on Kaelen's essence. Trapped in a lethal, intimate journey across the magical world, Lyra and Kaelen are enemies fused by necessity. Every shared breath is a violation, every touch is an electrical surge of power and resentment. But as the ancient Seal weakens, Lyra must make a choice: honor her ancestors' sacrifice and die, sending Kaelen back to the abyss... ...or choose survival, claim the god of chaos as her own, and become the supreme power the world should truly fear. The battle isn't for the world. It's for her soul the one she wants-and the Shadow she's sworn to control.
