When Lacy Clarke goes to Mouvementville, France to do pointe ballet professionally, she discovers the liking she has for Riley Parker, a hip-hopper. Riley seems to be off-limits to Lacy since her roommate (and one of her best friends, Valentina) has untouched love with Riley. But, Lacy doesn't seem to want Riley much either since she denies liking girls because she's straight, Riley hates Lacy's guts, so it all works out for all three girls, right? Lacy tries to balance past trauma with dancing and school, but people find out her covered trauma soon enough, but that trauma leads to more mysteries Lacy never expected.
