DeadPlate is a horror RPG created by Studio Investigrave, RachelDrawsThis and Ekrix on twitter.
It is set in 1960s France following the story of a lively waiter named Rody trying to make as much money as possible in a week at a fancy bistro owned by a charismatic and successful chef, Vincent.
I highly advice playing the game (currently available for download on itch.io) or watching a walkthrough on YT to understand the whole plot 

this story is only based on ENDING ONE: TABLE FOR ONE in which Rody quits his job while Vince tells him he can come back at any time. Rody tries to call Manon at a payphone, but she doesn't pick up which leaves Rody having no idea why she isn't picking up and frustrated about it.

As the owner and chef of 'La Gueule de Saturne' he has managed to gain a respectable social standing, despite his own aversion toward cooking. The money and praise he receives do little to soothe his loneliness. Vincent once a timid boy who never had to work for anything, now finds himself kicked out of his prestigious home due to his identity. Suddenly faced with the dread that is having to survive alone, he desperately searches for a job. When the local newspaper writes that 'La Gueule de Saturne' is looking for a waiter, Vincent applies for the job. He takes a gamble and hopes that Rody will at least entertain him, for old time's sake. Rody cannot resist, even though he should. Vincent is a force he cannot resist, like a bright flame tantalizingly dancing before him and urging him to come closer, despite the fact he will get burnt. Rody cannot resist this beautiful flame's incessant warmth. It is not his fault he has always had a strange fascination with fire.

What if Manon had soundly broken up with Rody and didn't rebound with Vince? Would interest have begun to develop between the two organically rather than Rody forcing himself through work for Manon while Vincent's interest in him was tempered by his desire to learn the secret to reacquiring taste? Without the dark undercurrents and maybe with a little bit of empathy, could things be different for them? Vincent had his sweet moments afterall. And Rody could be kinder and more curious when Manon wasn't involved. Neither of them are by any means completely stable and faultless, but maybe a solid foundation could have made all the difference. -This story will contain light violence and swearing as Vincent is a bit of a jerk at times. Future chapters MAY also contain NSFW content, just be aware that I intend for this to be a slow-ish burn just because I don't want to rush it. Mostly ill be focusing on fluff and romance because these two deserve that. Due to work and just life in general, updates may be off and on but the plan is to update every Monday!
