9日、京畿道城南(ソンナム)の牡丹(モラン)市場で会った食堂経営者キム・ヨンボクさん(66)は、「犬の肉はもう売っていないのか」という質問にこのように答えた。キムさんはモラン市場で30年前から健康院を経営し、2018年からは付近の食堂を買い取ってポシンタン(補身湯)など犬肉料理も販売してきた。現在は市場の家畜商人会長も務めている。


この日午前11時30分、昼休みの時間を迎えたが、キムさんの食堂の客は1つのテーブルだけだった。注文した料理もヨムソタン(ヤギ肉スープ)だった。キムさんは「この1年間、客が半分に減った。黒ヤギ肉を注文する客が10なら、犬肉を注文する客は2にすぎない」とし「犬の肉はもうやめてメインメニューを黒ヤギに変える」と話した。"
