Having witnessed her father's beheading, Ilyanna Stark must now protect her sister and ensure they survive the evolving game of thrones. Will the She-Wolf break while living among lions in a city on the verge of destruction while bending to an imbalanced king thirsting for war? Or will she howl for blood?

Welcome back to Westeros and my continued story based on the popular HBO TV series Game of Thrones with the inclusion of my original character. This story is set within the second season and expands while clarifying ideas originally noted in my second story, sharing the same name.

Please note that I own nothing; all rights go to HBO and GRR Martin; I merely hold the additional character and some plot shifts.

Cassana Baratheon learns she is betrothed to Robb Stark and as she waits for their wedding she soon realises that what they have is far deeper than an oath, until she finds herself drawn to the Bastard of Winterfell. She struggles between duty, her heart, and what she has always desired. The Iron Throne. When she is forced to return to Kings Landing, the trueborn daughter of Cersei Lannister and Robert Baratheon cannot ignore what has always been hidden in plain sight, the secrets of her bloodline. It's not long before conflict between the Starks and the Lannisters causes a dangerous rift between her and her betrothed, and the battle for the Iron Throne begins. Her own blood, Baratheon and Lannister alike, become her enemies and she soon learns the price for those who venture near the throne, a throne Robb despises. The lines between friend and foe and lover blur as she seeks alliances between the greatest players in the game and those who share her thirst for revenge against the Lannisters. She will discover that this war is far greater than any Westeros has ever seen. However, there is more than one Targaryen. The true king, far closer than she suspects, and preparing to fight the true enemy to the North while she fights in the south. A man she once could have called lover if not for duty. When secrets long hidden finally unravel, can the rightful heir to the Iron Throne survive her enemies and a love that threatens to destroy her? Or does fate have other plans? ~ Tags/warnings: arranged marriage, angst, smut, fluff, strong violence, strong language, alcohol abuse, sexual violence, love triangle, infidelity. "My father would surely have been disappointed in me anyhow. To leave me in the hands of a Stark, and to return to me in the arms of a Greyjoy. What a thought." After the death of her mother, Massey Bryer's life begins to change in ways she isn't prepared for. Her father and brother journey south, the latter seeking honor and knighthood in the courts of King's Landing, leaving her to navigate the first chapter of her adult life alone. Arriving at Winterfell with a singular purpose, to cement a bond with Robb Stark, the young Wolf of the North, Massey finds herself in the midst of a brewing storm. Yet, it's not the impending war or the duty to her family that threatens to unravel her. It's her unexpected entanglement with Theon Greyjoy. Straddling the lines between duty and desire, Massey must choose: follow the path laid out for her or forge a new one alongside the troubled ward of Winterfell. Based on GRRM's A Song of Ice and Fire.
