"It's not home, Della. You'll have a home in the future where only your sunlight will be." His words are sweet. "And Rune and Olivia and a lot of birds and cats." I add grinning as I imagine a home like that.
"And Rune and Olivia and a lot of birds if your cats don't kill them." he repeats.
"And you." I complete because my home won't be complete without him.
"And me." He promises and he takes me back to my house, not home.
Because my home was him.
